March 27, 2007 - Project Wrapup ...
So, here we are at the end of the line ... Sadako and I wrapped them all the other day, and then went to the post office to send them off on their way ...
Each one got a final check for blemishes, etc. and then after getting the OK, I signed it and passed it over to Sadako, who rolled it in tissue and nestled it into its box. When they were all ready, we got out the cardboard and prepared each one for shipping.
For those who are curious, there were 53 'subscribers' to the project. With the addition of a small number of complimentary copies (family/National Library/papermaker/etc.), we shipped out 60 scrolls. As I ended up with just about 100 decent copies of the print after the printing was finished, this leaves me with about 40 of them 'in stock', to be hopefully sent out one by one over the coming years, as orders come in ...
And now, after a few days of 'office' work trying to catch up on things, it'll be time to get started on the detailed planning for the next project! Thanks for following along ...
