March 21, 2007 - Shipping preparation ...

The first batch of paulownia boxes arrived this morning, after receiving their calligraphic decoration, so I was able to snatch a quick photograph, finish the layout of the final Progress Report, and then zip down to Kinko's to get it printed out. I've spent the rest of the day going through the boxes one by one, adjusting and gluing the small 'feet' that will support the scroll inside. Boots the Cat just slept through it all, as the pile of finished boxes grew and grew behind her ...

Down at the other end of the room, I put up a rack to hold the scrolls (in small batches) as they come out of their temporary cartons ready to be inspected, signed, and wrapped.

So tomorrow is shipping day ... A descriptive label will be glued inside each box, the scroll will go in, and they'll be carefully wrapped for mailing.
