New Project for 2007 ~ It's About Time!

OK, the winter edition of the Hyakunin Issho newsletter has now been mailed, and the online version is also open for view.

One of the feature stories contains an outline of my next project. Instead of re-typing here all the same description, I'll just recommend that you head over to the newsletter page to read all the details!

I should mention right away that as I am still buried in work getting all the printing done for my scroll project, the new series won't be getting under way until early summer.

Is that a problem? Not for me ... I'm going to need all the preparation time I can get!

Latest TV appearance - video clip

I had an appearance on a TV program last week ... on a two-hour special! But don't get excited - it wasn't all about me! It was a program focussing on foreigners working in the field of traditional Japanese arts/crafts, and they included a lot of people; I just got a short five minute spot.

I've ripped my segment, and put it up online over in my Woodblock Shimbun, but here are a few little clips of what you can see:

New Project for 2007 ~

As the large scroll project starts to wind down (not that all the prints are anywhere near done yet!), it comes time to consider what comes next.

A lot of 'considering' has been done, and the general outlines of the project are coming into view.

The new project is dramatically different from anything I have ever done before; it's time to shake things up a bit!

Let's look for an announcement on January 10th, the same day that I plan to mail out the winter newsletter!
