I'll start with the end of the rice harvest: first the rice is gathered together...
It's been left in the fields to dry...
Where it was cut...
Mostly hand work...
With a little mechanical help.
Here the mobile unit that will clean the rice.
Getting the bags ready.
And away we go!
Once it starts, there's no stopping til it's done.
And out comes the rice.
Pam is learning the ropes from mom and grandma.
Teamwork is the name of the game, this is all family, when they are done here, it's time for lunch, then off to the fields of the others who are helping here today.
On to the rubber, here a pic from last year, in the foreground our little darlings.
The same view now. My, how they've grown! This is down to songkran's hard, mainly
Here the view from the farmhouse balcony.
Again, as a reminder, here the "orchard" in August this year...
The same corner now.
The mango tree is coming along.
Gourds, herbs, pomegranetes, papayas...
No limes yet, but it's growing.
Chilis are everywhere, and producing their spicy fruits.
The bananas are going to take awhile...
Here an overview...
And here with the sprinklers running. There's a lot more water flying about than it looks, it's actually 'raining' all over the plot.
Three minutes, and the job is done. This is a huge help for Songkran, no more dragging hose and watering cans around.
And to end, our princess at rest...
