[Arts of Japan #2 - 7] : printing steps 7~8

Continued from [Arts of Japan #2 - 6] : printing steps 4~6 | Starting point of the thread was [Arts of Japan #2 - 1] : production of the second print

Just time for a couple of impressions today ... a few things getting in the way again!

First is a block to add a variety of patterns to the greenery, to help give it some depth and shape:

And we'll split it in two ... putting a gradation part-way along, as well as a splash of green down at the far end:

Tomorrow, we'll hit that portion at the far left ...

this design turned out great, and the colors are so nice.

by "split it in two", do you mean you just made two impressions from the same block here, the gradation with a darker color on the second pass?

Sorry not to be more clear; it's a different block, one carved with just the colour area that you see in that gradation. (The area on the left is missing...)
