Continued from [Mystique #17 - 8] : printing steps 12~14 | Starting point of the thread was [Mystique #17 - 1] : Process sequence ...

This one was also quick and easy, but adds a lot to the image - it's a darkish grey, giving the shape to the beak and adding some random spots to the body:

Next was the final gradation on the tail sections, giving us the full 'layering' effect:

And ... a splash of red for the two seals:

Dave- do we get a cage to put this bird on display? This is a very fine example of your work.

Looking ahead, have you picked your direction for your next series? The current trip has been a great learning experience, Thanks again.

Cage? Well, you've already got your paulownia box to keep him in ... isn't that enough?

As for 'what's next?' ... Well, nothing has been nailed down yet, but I am of course tossing around various ideas, and I'll be posting about this in the not-too-distant future.

What sort of series/set would you want to see? Larger in scale and few in number, or smaller and 'more', as we have had in this current series?

Dave

Knew you would refer to the "box", but a bird should have light and air!!

As to the next series I would prefer something in line with your past offerings. The size, and more important the variety of venues that you can draw from gives all of us a broader view of the history and future of this art form. Also, the price level makes this a good collectable.

Either way I plan to continue adding to my print collection.
