Meiji Pattern

This print was my last participation in the [Baren Forum] Exchanges, as it was becoming ever more obvious that my own prints simply didn't fit the participation requirement for 'original' work.

The image is taken from a kimono fabric pattern, perhaps from the late Meiji era. The Exchange had been an open 'theme', but the dimensions were set at 2:1, so I arranged the pattern in a way that it should 'repeat' when connected either horizontally or vertically.
