All these years in the 'future' (I write this in 2026, thirty-six years after this program was made), I have not the slightest idea what this is all about. I never, and I mean never, had any interest in Japanese cooking classes, but there I am ... And the portions of the program that show me trudging around downtown trying to sell my prints in a gallery ... this is a lie! I never did that; I was firmly established in my plan to make a living from subscriptions.

All I can think at this point is that back then - with very little experience dealing with TV producers - I simply acceeded to their scripted plan for this, and followed their instruction to 'go here' ... and 'talk to this guy' ... without pushing back against it at all. Maybe they were trying to help my activities; more likely I was just 'fodder' for their program. Water under the bridge ...
