Printed the sumi in the morning, and the colours in the afternoon and after the last class. That brings me to my 100 copies, and Ashida-san will put them in folders and stash them in the cupboard over the next few days. They'll be ready for instant shipping when new customers either ask for a sample, or wish to sign up.

A jumbo package of about 180 sheets of washi arrived from Yamaguchi-san today. This should keep me going for a few weeks or so. He will be trying to send about 200 sheets per month from now on. We're probably becoming one of his biggest customers!

At the bookstore, bumped into Arai-san from the Nishi Tokyo Shimbun. He tried to explain something about a presentation for the 'Ome Bijutsu Kyokai', some kind of art group in Ome. I am apparently to give some kind of talk to them, on the hanga project I assume. He wants me to send a package of copies of newspaper articles on my work, so that they can get a clear (?) idea of what I do.

An interesting weekend. Since Grandad and Grandma moved out to the hospital and Hiroyo's place respectively, I have been looking longingly at their large room ... and this weekend we moved in. Their room has now become the kid's room, the tatami room is now the workshop, and my old workshop is now the 'classroom' and study, for homework, translation and typing, etc. It took the best part of the weekend to do it all, building a shelf unit in the workshop, and a bench/table in the office (¥30,000 for the materials). I have mixed feelings about leaving the old room - I've spent nearly four years in there, learning to become a printmaker, and it feels a bit sad to be leaving, even if it's only to the next room. On the other hand though, the new wide space (wide?) really feels 'fresh' and new, and I'm sure I'll settle in with no problem. Some of the English students will be a little cramped in the smaller room, but that won't be for long, will it now ...
