Post My prints are sticking together
I did a trial run of my four color blocks yesterday to check out
registration, etc. but had some problems that maybe you could help me with.

The worst problem was: I stacked them to dry BUT when I took the stack
apart, they ALL STUCK together.

My husband said, "See! You can't use 'glue' to spread the color."

I used something called "Wheat Universal Wallpaper Paste". Is that the wrong
thing or did I just get it too thick? The colors got ALL over the prints and
maybe that problem was also because I just had the paste too thick. It was
"pour-able" and "fluffy", two words I've seen on the forum to describe how
it should be.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

If prints are sticking, or if colour transfers, then you simply have too much 'stuff' on the block when taking the impression. There should be no more colour/paste mixture on the block than will be absorbed into the paper. Nothing should be left on the block, and nothing should be left up on the surface of the paper.

I can flip a sheet off the block, turn it face up, and then rub with my finger over the front of it immediately - nothing smears, and no colour comes up on my finger. None.

I guess that might be the direction to try ...
