Here in Japan, 'blank' calendar paper is available in stationery stores, with the date portion pre-printed, and the rest left blank for the printmaker to fill in with his design. The paper is a machine-made washi, just right for woodblock printmaking, and the printed date numbers do not blur when one moistens the paper for printing.
Each page of this calendar is 20.5x11.0 cm (the pre-printed paper is available in many other sizes). Mr. Hishiki gave me this calendar as a present. He told me that he did an edition of 100 sets, and has given them all away to friends and acquaintances.
