Gary Luedtke

Gary was born in Wisconsin in 1947, and grew up in the same area. He later moved to Hawaii where he pursued an interest in art by painting while holding down other jobs. An encounter with a Hiroshige exhibition gave him the idea of combining his artistic interest in Hawaii with the craft of Japanese woodblock printing, leading him to his current project, the production of a series of Hawaiian scenes in the woodblock medium.
